Who I am
I am a doctor by background, now working in health technology. I have always loved technology and I am usually first in the queue for a new gadget, but I am not a coder and I have no technical training. I tried to learn over the years and it never stuck. Generative AI is what finally changed that. Everything on this site is something I made by talking to AI and learning as I went.
How I got into this
I learned the slow, hands-on way. I spent a year inside an AI-first product team and threw myself in, picking up skills I could not get any other way. I wrote prompts, designed AI workflows, and tested them every day, with no engineering background to fall back on. It pushed me well outside my comfort zone, and I found I genuinely enjoyed it.
That is the experience I am trying to pass on here. With these tools moving as fast as they do, doing beats reading. Anything you learn from a textbook is already a version behind. So this site is built to get you using the tools straight away, not studying them.
How I build, and how I'll show you
Judgement over code
The hard part was never the code. It is knowing what to build, who it is for, and what good looks like. AI handles the typing. The judgement is yours, and you already have it.
Ship, then improve
The first version is always rough, and that is fine. Get something working, use it, find what is wrong, and fix it. Shipping beats planning every time.
Always check it
AI is confidently wrong more often than people expect. Every number and every claim gets checked before you trust it. That habit is the whole game, and I will show you how.
Why this site exists
You should not need to be a developer to build the things you want. For years I assumed that wall was permanent. It turned out not to be. This site is my attempt to show that in plain steps, to anyone who wants to try. No jargon and no gatekeeping.
If I could learn this, so can you. Start the course and build something today.
Want a hand with your own build?
The course is there to get you going on your own. But if you would rather build your real thing with someone alongside you, or you are stuck and want it sorted, I do occasional one-to-one sessions.
Work with meA note on the day job: I keep my clinical and health-tech work on a separate site. If that is what you came for, it lives at clinformatix.co.uk. Stackless is the other side of what I do, the building and tinkering I do for the love of it.
